Connecticut Color utilizes the latest CREO "computer-to-plate" state-of-the-art prepress equipment, which includes closed-loop proof-to-press technology. Connecticut Color can handle anything from files to film and operates on a prinergy workflow. We accept files via T-1, FTP, email, or other conventional methods.
Press
Connecticut Color is proud of the quality achieved by our pressroom and staff. All of our web presses are 6-unit presses equipped with automatic cut-off, register, and automatic inking. The web pressroom offers combination and double parallel folding, sheeting, in-line folding with die-cutting, pattern and running perfs, hot-melt, wet and remoist glue. By providing this range of capabilities and configurations we offer you cost savings and precious days in your print cycle, which provides better cycle times to market.
Finishing and Mailing
Finishing and mailing is an extension of the press area, which provides the capabilities to cut, fold, stitch ( 1-up or 2-up books), cold or hot glue, label, shrinkwrap, drill and package. All these operations can be completed in single or multiple operations to complete all print formats for flyers, self-mailers, letters, and books. Multiple head Scitex or HP Winkjet image systems provide the ability to image name and address or codes on single or double-sided documents as well as right-angle documents. Added to these image features is a comprehensive front-end USPS approved sortation systems that provides maximum sortation, which includes BMC and SCF drops for maximum postal discounts.
Shipping and Distribution
Connecticut Color has forged unique relationships with LTL and Full load Couriers, Postal Logistic Couriers, UPS, DHL, and Federal Express to provide the most cost effective and time efficient manner to ship your products. Most methods provide on-line tracking and POD signatures to insure successful delivery.
